23rd ICAR Abstract Submission

Abstract Submission is closed

Abstracts of original research papers in any area of antiviral drug research and development are encouraged and will be allocated to particular sessions based on subject matter. Papers will be selected for inclusion in the program by the Program Committee. Notification of acceptance and instructions for oral or poster presentation will be sent by February 9, 2010. The following rules apply to all submissions:

  • Submission of an abstract indicates intent to attend the meeting and present the paper.
  • The submitting author of the abstract must be a current member of the International Society for Antiviral Research.
  • Acceptance of an abstract dictates that the communicating author or a co-author will present the paper.
  • No changes in subject material or order of authors will be permitted without written permission from the Chair of the ICAR Program Committee.
  • A change in who will present an oral paper must be communicated to the session chair before the presentation is made.
  • If your presentation involves a chemical entity for which you present biological data and the structure is known, you must agree to divulge the structure at the time of your presentation.
  • Conference registration fees must be paid before an abstract can be presented.
  • All abstracts must be submitted electronically. Abstracts must be prepared according to the instructions provided on the submittal website.

Deadline: Abstracts must be submitted no later than January 8, 2010.

Important Notice: The Program for the 23rd ICAR, including titles of presentations and authors' names, will be put on the Society's web site on March 2, 2010. The Program and Abstracts issue of Antiviral Research containing the full program and complete abstracts of the 23rd CAR will be placed on Elsevier's website for Antiviral Research using their usual schedule for making journals available on the web. This will occur several weeks in advance of the Conference.

    Late Breaker Submission
A limited number of oral and poster presentations will be reserved for abstracts containing newest data with cutting edge implications. As only a few submissions of greatest importance will be accepted, this mechanism should not be used as a tardy means to submit an abstract. Late breaker abstracts can be submitted after the web site for abstracts reopens on March 1, 2010 and before it closes on March 31, 2010, but they can not be published in the ICAR issue of Antiviral Research.
